I’m for truth, no matter who tells it. I’m for justice no matter who it’s for or against.
-Malcolm X

Dynamic, assertive, determined with a genuine desire to help people, is how Katrina Brown is described in the legal community.  She developed a passion for the law at an early age. In fact, by the age of seven, Katrina knew she wanted to become a lawyer. In grade school, she was known for negotiating the craftiest of trades during snack time. As a lawyer, she has taken those negotiation skills to the next level and provides her clients a superior level of representation and advocacy in court. With over ten years of experience, Katrina has become a highly recognized and sought after trial attorney. In 2013, she was honored by Lawyers of Color Inc., in its first annual “Lawyers of Color Hot List.” Katrina was recognized by the Mississippi Business Journal as a “Top 40 under 40” Business Leader for 2014 and named as a Leader in Law in 2015. She has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” for 2014, 2015, and is a graduate of Leadership Greater Jackson, class of 2013-14.

Katrina Brown’s law practice has centered on litigation in both state and federal trial courts. She grew up in Crystal Springs, Mississippi, and attended the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg where she received her B.A. in Paralegal Studies in 2003.  After USM, Katrina went on to law school at the University of Mississippi School of Law, graduating in 2005.  She is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Mississippi and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

After law school, Katrina began practicing law with a top law firm in Jackson, MS. While there, she ascended the ranks to become the first African-American partner at the firm. With the wealth of knowledge and trial experience Katrina has obtained, she stepped out on faith and co-founded the Brown Bass & Jeter law firm in 2015.

Katrina is actively involved in her community through various civic and legal organizations.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, attending professional sporting events, concerts and mentoring young ladies in her community.
